Bushspeak - Leak - spin - rinse - repeat

EJ Dionne has a good op-ed on the leak today. He has the same take I do, that the most important point is Bush could have saved the taxpayers a lot of money by coming clean at the time but he brings up an interesting angle I hadn't thought of before. What did Ashcroft know that triggered his resignation? EJ notes that the timing conveniently postponed the investigation until after the 04 election.

Dionne thinks the Senate Judiciary Committee will hold Bush's feet to the fire until the truth comes out. I hope he's right. I'm dying to know what Bush told Fitzgerald at that meeting back in June 04 myself.
