Sheehan scores serious support
Cindy Sheehan's vigil for peace has found some new angels. Buzzflash posts a copy of a letter sent to President Bush by 38 members of Congress, urging him to meet with Cindy and the other families of the war dead.
They also mention it might be a really bad idea to arrest her for exercising her constitutional right to petition the government with her greivances. Another heartening sign of public awareness. The only thing that worries me is what other dirty programs the White House will be trying to slip in under the cover of this distraction.
Meanwhile, Alternet posts an interview with Cindy where she reports support coming in from all quarters. Her simple act of courage seems to have struck a chord that resonates across America tonight. I don't think we've seen the crescendo yet.
