If it quacks like a lame duck

St. Paul voters proved they have an attention span longer than the last White House slogan. Incumbent mayor Randy Kelly, who publicly backed President Bush for re-election, was trounced at the ballot box by challenger, Chris Coleman who took the vote by a 70 percent to 30 percent margin.

The endorsement turned out to be the overriding issue in the election. This was a vote of no confidence in the president. It's good to see something besides gay bashing occupying the minds of the voters.
