Blogging while groggy

I'm pretty well cooked for the night, but here's a few links for the archives.

I didn't watch this yet but Maddow interviewed Tom Ridge about his book and I hear she eviscerated him. Meanwhile, I don't know why he bothered to write it and then immediately disown everything he said.

Diane Sawyer is taking over for Charles Gibson, who announced a sudden retirement. Of course this news has folks digging in the archives for such gems as her interview with the Dixie Chicks after the big outrage fest over Natalie Maines remark at a concert. If you recall, Natalie said, "Just so you know, we're ashamed the president of the United States is from Texas."

Back then criticizing the president was nearly a capital crime, according to the media. And I suppose it was inevitable that the Diane Sawyer drunk video would resurface.

Pat Buchanan is a stain on society. He posits here that Hitler wasn't such a bad guy. He was just misunderstood.

Don't remember where I got this but really is quite stunning.
# 31 percent of young workers report being uninsured, up from 24 percent 10 years ago, and 79 percent of the uninsured say they don’t have coverage because they can’t afford it or their employer does not offer it.

# Strikingly, one in three young workers are currently living at home with their parents.
And I don't remember what this post is about, but John Cole is always worth a read. The stupid leading the blind.
