Run Chuck Run

Chuck Hagel, Republican Senator from Nebraska said today that he might consider a run for president as an independent.

Well, that's his only option since he is out of lock-step with the right-wing, oops, republican party. To call a group right-wing would imply there were other wings or positions, and that just ain't so. As a matter of fact, he probably would have to run for the senate as an independent when the social conservatives defeat him at a primary vote that was assured when he opposed God's chosen president, GWB.

Okay moderates, here's your guy. Let's get that third political party up and running. I'd vote for him. Just look at those stiffs in the first two debates. Can you see yourself voting for any of those guys?

What will we call this party? How about "The Mod Squad"? How about "NOTB" for None Of The Above?

Seriously, Chuck Hagel's a good man. He's smart, he's a veteran and he's got character. He stood up to those bastards when no one else in his party would do so. He's worthy of consideration, that's for sure.
