Hiatt's profiles in courage

Only a few weeks ago, wankers like Hiatt were calling war support mainstream thinking and were confidently predicting the Republicans would still win in the mid-terms because they were tough on terrorists. Now Freddy suddenly paints the exact same wrong headed position as McCain courageously bucking the system?


Glenn Greenwald is right. This has nothing to with courage and it's not a principled postion. It's just a coldly calculated political move. McCain doesn't give a flying leap about our troops or Iraq, or our national security for that matter. He cares about his candidacy and this stance has focus group written all over it. It's obvious he sees his base as the remaining warmongers.

It's a fool's hope promulgated by those who are only fooling themselves and hoping to take the rest of us along on their joy ride. And they call us unserious?
