DeLay indicted - again

This just in and it's too delicious. A second indictment was handed down against Tom DeLay by a Texas grand jury - this time for money laundering.

Challenging the first indictment for campaign fraud on the technical grounds that the crime was not narrowly specified until after he commited it, his hot shot counsel will have a harder time making this go away on rules of law. Ironically money laundering rules have been tightened and pursued more vigorously since they started trampling our civil rights after 9/11. The charge now carries a penalty of up to life in prison.

DeLay of course, with the smoothness of all professional liars, has an immediate response. They probably have a boilerplate form for these things around the office.
"Ronnie Earle has stooped to a new low with his brand of prosecutorial abuse," DeLay said in a statement. "He is trying to pull the legal equivalent of a 'do-over' since he knows very well that the charges he brought against me last week are totally manufactured and illegitimate. This is an abomination of justice."
He should know an abomination of justice. He looks at one every day in the mirror when he shaves.
