Murky Miers
As I'm absorbing the news and reading the reactions around Blogtopia, I'm left with a lot of questions. I posted those at my Detroit News politics blog.

After reading more about Miers, it appears that the right is unhappy about her nomination. They feel Bush pandered to the Dems on this one in order to avoid a fight, which in turn could end up hurting his poll numbers even more.
Who would have thunk? Meirs graduated with a degree in math in 1967 and ended up working her way up to nominee for the Supreme Court? She did exactly what those on the right expect the poor and uneducated to do: She reinvented herself.
So, what's the beef all about? No experience? No one ever said you had to have experience to reinvent yourself.
I don't know what they're complaining about KS. It seems like a crocodile tears.
It's obvious Miers was nominated for one reason only, her unquestioning loyalty to Bush.
The Freepers just like to hear themselves talk and the intelligent right I think are trying to trick us into thinking they're unhappy she's a big cipher when they know exactly what she's going to do. Which will be whatever they tell her to. They might just as well have nominated a rubber stamp and an inkpad.
