Rummy was complaining that al-Jazeera was making it too diffucult for the Pentagon to practice perception management because they insist on airing footage of the fighting in Iraq. Add GOP in front of extremists and it describes the US today.

The WaPo piece is priceless - I had to look twice to make sure it wasn't from The Onion. It's chock full of Rummyisms, featuring a lecture he gave to China on their military spending, economic polices and political freedom. I have more thoughts here.
