Gaggle giggles

I rarely bother with the daily gaggle. It's not like anything of substance ever gets reported by White House spokesmen. Their job is to talk a lot and say as little as possible but I found this exchange on Gonzales a little amusing.

Q But, Tony, when you say he has the full confidence of the President, and when you say you feel he's been a strong Attorney General, doesn't this erode the President's credibility when it seems like the entire rest of the political universe is on the other side of that?

MR. FRATTO: No, I don't think that's where everyone is. Look --

Q How is -- who's on his side?

MR. FRATTO: What we are focusing on, what we think the Attorney General is focusing on is the mission of the Department of Justice. I haven't heard anyone say that the Department of Justice has been weak in enforcing child predator laws. I haven't heard anyone say that the Department of Justice has been anything short of strong and aggressive in protecting America from domestic terrorism threats. Those are the things that we are focusing on, and those things have happened under this Attorney General's leadership.
Maybe Tony should clean the wax out of his ears. I haven't heard anyone say Alberto is anything other than weak and short of strong and aggressive on anything besides skirting the rule of law. Well except our Feckless Leader of course. Maybe Tony should get out more.

Well, Tony, the really funny thing is that one of the "reasons" for firing one of the USA Charlton was that he was TOO zealous in prosecuting pedophiles. So that would make your statement, like, dead wrong.

Hey Hubris - nice to see you. It's true, his war on pedophiles is the most disgustingly hypocritical talking point. He's done nothing to protect kids - he just harrasses consenting adults and protects those who exploit kids.
