Funny or not?

Most everyone seems to think this mashup of Fred Thompson is funny. I didn't find it all that amusing. Is it just because I'm in a foul mood?
The video by the way, was made by a rightie who supports Huckabee. He says the entire piece was solely comprised from clips of Fred's first debate appearance. I believe him. I didn't watch the debate but all the reviews mentioned this particular quirk.

Hi Libby,
I'm the rightie who lost 5 hours of sleep putting this together. (It took a total of 8 hours plus time spent recording and converting the files).
When I started, I planned on using all of the "umm"s into a little 30 second ad. Then it went past 30 seconds... then a minute... towards the end, I might have skipped two or three "umm"s because I just wanted to get finished and go to bed. That's why the editing before and after the clips is so lame.
But yes, he spent over 2 minutes screwing up. It would have been a LOT easier to just copy-paste the same clips over and over again.
I can give you just the Thompson clips if you would like to duplicate my effort.

Kevin - I appreciate the effort you put into this and I'm not at all interested in duplicating it. I'm afraid I just didn't find it funny. I find it more a statement on how pathetic the field is.
But then again, as I mentioned, I'm in a mood today and not finding it easy to laugh. I think you did a great job on putting it together and I expect others will see the humor better than myself which is why I put up the link.
at any rate, Thompson sucked at the debate. without all the hype surrounding his run, he would have been a very typical 2nd tier candidate. The worst part was when tancredo insulted Brownbacks mother. most uncomfortable moment I've ever seen in a debate
I didn't watch it Lester. I can't stand those pseudo-debates.
