Lead The Way
Over the past year or two the constant gripe from the republicans and their echo chamber on the web was that the democratic party did nothing but complain about Iraq. Their premise being that if you didn't have a plan of your own, then shut up.
Of course, getting the hell out of there sounds like a pretty good plan to me and hell, they don't like that either.
The thing that bothers me now about the democrats is that they don't seem to have a plan for the future but to get the hell out of Iraq and investigate the Bushies. Now don't get me wrong, I'm a big fan of both of those but I would like to see a carefully crafted agenda to move America in a different and more positive way.
Newt Gingrich's Contract On America or was that Contract With America? Well, I know how it turned out and I think the former is probably more accurate,was actually a great concept and was crafted and spun to perfection until greed and too much power got the best of him. The democrats need a plan like this to improve the lives of all Americans and to strengthen their majority.
They should get to work on the tax code, health care and immigration. They should finally do something about ethics in government and then live up to it. There are dozens of things including personal freedoms and the fight against terrorists. The congress certainly needs to reign in the executive branch.
They need to let everyone know what they believe in and then get it done.

Unfortunately the democrats are as beholden to the military industrial complex as the repuglicans, so you will not see an end to the war.
Unfortunately the democrats are just as dependent on the two party system as the repuglicans, so you will not see campaign reform.
Unfortunately the democrats are just as addicted to big business as the repuglicans, so you will not see a national health care.
Unfortunately Americans are too ignorant to see that there is no real difference between democrats and repuglicans and things will continue as is until it gets really bad and they wake up.

I think things are pretty bad right now, but I agree that nothing will change.
They are all bought and paid for.

the only solution is to destroy the government. getting them to give money to liberal stuff is a waste. yuo take some, I take some pretty soon we are were we are now: a 2.9 trillion dollar budget. we don't needa department of labor, department of education, department of energy, fema, corps of engineers enough to send them our taxes so they can spend it on wars , countries that hate us, and subisdizing things that should't be subsidized. end the welfare/ warfare state!
