Disarming the public

So where's all the Second Amendment champions? How about the NRA? I can't believe the confiscation of legally owned firearms from the remaining residents of New Orleans has gone on without much of a protest.

As Dave Kopel points out. It's not only stupid, it's illegal. I find it particularly puzzling when there's been such a trend in the state legislatures to allow people to use firearms against each other, anytime they feel the least bit threatened.
