Everday Heroes

Sen. Al Franken's first proposed amendment passed on a bi-partisan vote. It was a great amendment.
S. Amend. 2566 simply prohibits "the use of funds for any Federal contract with Halliburton Company, KBR, Inc., any of their subsidiaries or affiliates, or any other contracting party if such contractor or a subcontractor at any tier under such contract requires that employees or independent contractors sign mandatory arbitration clauses regarding certain claims." The "certain claims" have to do with sexual assault.
Thirty GOPers voted against it, so apparently they're objectively pro-rape. All the Republican women voted for it.

Meanwhile, Max Blumenthal nailed Joe Scarborough on Morning Joe. He refused to let Joe get away with making false equivalencies about left wing/right wing extremism. He left Joe muttering to himself at the end of the segment. I have a feeling Max probably won't be invited on that show again and he'll probably end up being blackballed by all the right wing bobbleheads. Good for him for putting the truth above his career considerations.

And Michael Moore squashed Hannity last night. Nice to see liberals fighting back and taking charge of the narrative.
