Bad jokes
A lot of people are appalled by CBS golf analyst David Feherty's recent remark:

From my own experience visiting the troops in the Middle East, I can tell you this, though: despite how the conflict has been portrayed by our glorious media, if you gave any U.S. soldier a gun with two bullets in it, and he found himself in an elevator with Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, and Osama bin Laden, there's a good chance that Nancy Pelosi would get shot twice, and Harry Reid and bin Laden would be strangled to death.It is offensive, but so is the entire piece. Taken in context it appears Feherty fancies himself to be one of these southern-fried comedians who trade in psuedo-macho, vulgar, adolescent insults and probably wasn't meant to be taken seriously. In fact a guy who wrote a book called An Idiot for All Seasons probably doesn't expect to ever be taken seriously. Still, I have to wonder how well this "joke" would have gone over with Feherty's audience if Rosie O'Donnell said the same thing about Denny Hastert and Trent Lott.
