Good Boy
Yesterday George W. Bush thanked Australian Prime Minister John Howard for his steadfast support and cooperation in the "war on terror."
Mr. Bush then whistled and Mr. Howard ran over and jumped onto the president's lap to have his ears scratched.

The US president "thanked the Prime Minister for the decision of Australia to send additional troops to help secure the peace in Afghanistan and for Australia's steadfast and important commitment in Iraq."

Funny! I can't believe Howard is still siding with Bush. I figured by now he'd see the light like Tony Blair did.
Too bad for Australia that Howard also opted out of the Kyoto treaty like the Bush administration did. I read that the country is suffering from severe drought conditions.

But not for much longer. Labor is about to do a job on the Australia's "Liberals". What with Howard going down and Blair soon to resign, Bush's list of allies grows thin.
I think that Howard jumped on this train for a free ride. When he realized there was no one driving he couldn't get off. The light at the end of the tunnel is another train.
You know, I don't think it's fair to compare Mr. Howard or any of Bush's allies to the canine population. Canines are loyal, but they also know how to sniff out trouble.

Lapdog seems to work so well.
Lapslug just doesn't roll off the tongue.
Good point Truffle. I love your blog. I'm so stealing the Lawrence Welk post for my drug war blog.
Thanks for stopping by.
