Meghan McCain on war and lipstick

Meghan McCain isn't buying into her daddy's outrage on pig lipstick.

John McCain's daughter Meghan is not taking offense to Barack Obama's "lipstick on a pig" line like the rest of her father's campaign, pointing out Wednesday morning that GOP presidential nominee has been known to use the phrase.

"I've heard my dad say that, the term 'lipstick on a pig,'" McCain said during an appearance on Fox promoting her new children's book about her father.
Indeed, Meghan has been very busy bee on the talk show circuits promoting her new book. Via newsroom-1, here's your YouTube moment of the day. She says, "No one knows what war is like other than my family. Period!"

I'm sure all the hundreds of thousands of military families who have lost their loved ones or are worried sick about losing them are taking great comfort in hearing that, but I wonder what the Bush family would have to say. As I recall, Laura said no one suffers more from the war than her family. But I guess that's not quite the same thing.

Update: Pig lipstick -- the video.

My guess is, Meghan, when she said no one but her family knows about war,she was referring to Obama although she seems to have forgotten that Palin has a kid getting into the fray. And she seems to have forgotten that Biden also has a son who will be deploying shortly. Just another example of the ego centrism of the Mccain family.

Meghan is just a spoiled trust funder who is squeezing what she can out of the spotlight. Nodoby would have published that book if her daddy wasn't running for president.
