Nothing to add

By Libby
Updated below

I have nothing to say on the Petraeus report today. John Cole has already written the ultimate post. Next lifetime I want to be able to do snark like this.

And by the way McQ, a lot of us wrote about this last week but everyone was on vacation so nobody read them. Or is the idea that no one is allowed an opinion if you've already expressed one to your own satisfaction?

Update: How do they find the posts so quickly?

Uh, no Libby ... you're welcome to express your opinion. It does help credibility though if it is an informed opinion. If you think John Cole's post is the ultimate word on the subject, that tells me just about all I need to know about how informed your opinion is.

I'm a little worried about McQ. He's seems unusually cranky today. I generally think of him as being more even-tempered.

He usually IS more even-tempered. I think he's feel frustrated that he can't convince everyone to believe whatever Petraeus and Bush say w/o question.

I think the stress is getting to all of the loyalists Kathy. They're really testy these days.

I was going to post saying how unimpressed I was by the mighty McQ, but seeingt as how you folks are telling me he isn't himself, I'll cut him a little slack until he's feeling better... (After the Bush Report & Petraeus testimony, I suppose...)

Finally got tired of all of Don's whining about how unAmerican you are over at his Burkean Reflections blog, & figured I'd pop on over & decide for myself... (Actually, I'd almost swear I had you in my reader long ago, but never noticed that I never saw any posts... s'pin fixed.)

Repsac - thanks for the encouragement and for checking me out for yourself. I don't know what Donald's problem is, but it's difficult to understand why he's so focused on me. It's not like I'm a huge tipping point blogger.

I can't believe you have him listed on your blog as a reasonable right person. I find him to be an extremist myself. But maybe that's because he's so unpleasant to me.

Anyway thanks for reading.

I'm beginning to wonder, myself... His behavior toward you is that of a bully. I notice that his dander goes up quickly sometimes (I mentioned that marking behavior he has, where he ends every comment with the link to his blog--which reminds me of nothing so much as a dog hitting every tree & bush on the street--and he replied by telling me If you have a problem with my links at your blog, delete my comments and quit your bitching! A bit intense, & kinda unexpected...)

As far as him being rational, he is, compared to some of the other rightie blogs I (used to) visit...
He usually does try to make sense, and sometimes he actually succeeds...

But his obsession with you is making me reread & reevaluate where he's coming from... He do seem to take it all too personally, as though disagreeing with his view is akin to calling his wife a whore...

I'll give him a bit more of a chance, even if he does tend to make my brain hurt with some of that twisted logic...

After my last visit, I recalled the situation... I first linked to you & Jim when that award meme (rational middle reflections? Something like that...) was going around... (I hit on one of the blogs, and ended up linking to all of 'em) But somewhere along the way, I must've misplaced the link... last I recall, Jim was thinking of going another way (or just going away). Apparently he did, though I did notice him defending your honor (slightly) over at Burkean earlier this eve... (You're a liberal, not a leftist.)

Anyway, that's the way I remember it...

Well I'm glad to hear Jim is defending me, even slightly. I've been very saddened by the way that all shook out here.

I stopped posting there. he doesn't even debate the posters. but he goes to other peoples blogs and demands tedious debates based on his neo con talking points. he's got a screw loose. My entire week or so i spent there were talking to some republican dude who made some kind of high tech military batteries or some thing. He was pretty intelligent and at least wanted to use the blog for what I thught was it's intended purpose a political discussion.
