Excess bloggage: Fred Thompson and friends edition
By Libby
I've been doing a lot of posting at the Newshoggers this week, so while I think up new ways to amuse you here's some links you may have missed if you don't follow me over there.
I weigh on Fred Thompson's "big" announcement. The most exciting aspect so far is that his given name is really Freddie and I didn't find that out from him.
Freddie's been on my mind for the last couple of days. I figured out Fred is the new George.
Well except that instead of being The Decider, he appears to be The Undecider.
And speaking of our Decider in Chief, Draper's book is the gift that just keeps on giving. I track down quotes on Bush's real war plan, which is playing for November. Playing being the operative word. The guy is treating foreign policy like an aimless game of Risk.
But that's probably because, as is becoming more clear every day, he's completely delusional. We need a new consitutional amendment to provide some kind of instant remedy for presidents who lose their marbles while in office.
Meanwhile oppo comes out of the closet. Massachusetts Dems have put together a lovely website just for Mitt Romney. It's the least they could do for him after what he did for Massachusetts as governor.
And no roundup is complete without the latest incidence of wingnut cognitive dissonance. I don't know how those guys sleep at night.
And finally, I'm not going to list my Detroit News posts. They've been kind of specific to the forum this week but if you're interested the directory of posts will jump you to mine if you don't feel like wading through my co-bloggers to find them.

"I don't know how those guys sleep at night."
That's easy - they don't. They sleep during the day, hanging upside down from the rafters.
LOL Fogg. You come up with the best punchlines.
Loved the "violence begets violence" posts over at the DetNews, especially the one where you point out that LaPlante is the one who's intellectually bankrupt!
Hey Kathy. Good to see you. That was a fun series of posts. I love having a chance to turn LaPlante's insults back on him. What a jerk he can be sometimes. It's like shooting fish in a barrel.
the new Bush is Romney. that's why the neo cons love him. They want a guy who is comfortable around rich people and is a blank slate. and mitt is blank. rudy wrote some horrible op ed in foreign affairs or something. they don't want that. the same way japanese businessmen don't want you learning japanese. and Fred Thompson is a bunch of hype.
They're all pathetic. I feel sorry for people who feel like they HAVE to vote GOP. What a bunch of lame choices.
