Unexpected allies
Knock me over with a feather, but credit for good behavior where it's due. Chairman and CEO of Goldman Sachs, Lloyd Blankfein:

No surprise here -- Wall Street is ponying up big time to help Republicans in the NY legislature who voted for gay marriage to keep their seats. Andrew Cuomo seems to have arranged that support for them ahead of the vote. I'm not sure why this issue is meaningful to Wall Street, but I guess it is.
Like to think it's because they have a lot of gay employees and support socially progressive issues for real. But I've always been a bit of a Pollyanna.
