IOKIYAR: How soon they forget edition
Disgraced former Republican U.S. Rep. Mark Foley, who was forced to resign in 2006 when his lewd emails to barely out of their teens, male Congressional pages became public, is back in action. Apparently all is forgiven as he was invited to address the Palm Beach County Young Republicans meeting last week. Apparently he was big hit. Young Republicans President Jackie Fay called him enthralling. And after a different speaking engagement, Palm Beach County GOP Chairman Sid Dinerstein said, "He remains very charming and engaging. The anger that I had for about two years is gone."
Well I guess everybody deserves a second chance, but most homosexual pedophiles don't get one because it's also true old habits die hard. If were the Florida GOP establishment, I would at least take care to make sure Foley doesn't get their teenage boys' cell phone numbers.

Disgraced republicans are like vampires, bury them for a while and they rise again. There have been several attempts to rehabilitate Foley and run him for office again, but so far it hasn't got past his supporters' entertainments.
I've had enough experience with GOP support for serious pedophiles to nauseate me for a lifetime. At least Foley hasn't pulled the Born Again stunt -- yet.
Foley is maybe the creepiest of the fallen GOPers. And I think you're right, he may well pull the "found Jebus" card to get back into the game.
I've had enough of Democrat support for known pedophiles like Jerry Studds to nauseate me for a lifetime. Liberals show their disapproval by reelecting their favored perverts.
I meant Gerry Studds. The fact that he was a sicko favored by liberals remains unchanged. The hypocrisy on display is truly amazing.
Hey Jerry - only took you a couple of weeks to figure out how to get back on the air. And hear I thought you had an IQ of 47.
But really although nobody worth a damn gives a damn what you think or what you're tired of your selected facts don't give the full picture.
• The number of sex scandals has increased dramatically over the past few decades, thanks to technology, new press standards and a post-Clinton belief that everything is fair game. After all the number of 20th century presidents from at least Harding onwards has been rather high. But in the last few decades:
• Republicans have more scandals (33 to 27)
• Democrats tend to have more problems with harassment, staffers and underage girls; Republicans tend to have more problems with prostitutes, hypocrisy and underage boys.
And when I say hypocrisy it's because the Republicans have been selling themselves as Values Voters. Think Newt here, porking bimbos while his wife lay dying and all the time howling about Clinton.
As I told you I used to be a Republican until a Representative I helped finance was involved in a scandal involving two likely murders, two boys and a 2 year old girl. The REPUBLICAN governor pulled strings and made the state police drop their case.
So go ahead and bark, you may stand on two legs, but you're still a dog.
But please learn the difference between a liberal, and a Democrat if that doesn't put too big a strain on the 4 synapses and a spirochete that comprise your brain.
Or on second thought, keep it up since you make all Republicans seem like deranged idiots and I don't have to.
Finding it pathetic "Jerry" has to dig back to 83 to draw a false equivalency between a consensual affair between two people and sending unsolicited and unwanted mash notes to many unsuspecting boys. Not really condoning what Studds did, but it's not at all the same thing.
"Foley sent emails and left office. He's not coming back."
And 'Wide Stance' Larry Craig? You're full of shit Jerry and one more goddamn insult and you can pack up the hate and go to your room.
Hey Fogg. This guy is now on my delete without reading list.
