Union busting at the Globe
It would be horrible if the Globe shut down leaving Boston at the mercy of that insipid rag The Herald, but the blackmailing of the unions is just disgusting. It's always the workers that have to make the concessions.
I'd really like to know what the big guys at the top are giving up to keep the company afloat. I'm guessing top tier management, whose lousy business decisions contributed greatly to the company's problems in the first place, will still be getting hefty bonuses. Probably even bigger ones if they manage to extort enough money and benefit givebacks from the union workers.
