Hot gossip - Updated
Real news seems to have almost disappeared from the radar screen, so I'm reduced today to becoming that which I loathe, a mere gossip monger. Starting with the tawdry.
Levi Johnston's sister says Bristol Palin is crazy and won't let him anywhere the near their baby because she doesn't want the tyke to be tainted by his "white trash" family. And the engagement has been off for over a month. It's in Star magazine so take it for what it's worth.
UPDATE: This one is moving up the credibility ladder. People magazine now confirming the rumors with more unnamed sources. This narrative has Levi back as hands on daddy. More interesting is that grandma Sarah has been living in Juneau with Piper and Trig and her PAC just sent out an announcement that she was soon to be traveling the coutry to promote candidates who share "her vision."
On a related note, there's a new Sarah Palin comic book. A companion work to Female Force: Hillary Clinton, part of series of 'biographies' that include Caroline Kennedy and William Shatner.
Steve Benen dispatches yet another wingnut kerfluffle about Democrats wishing for Bush to fail. Once again Fox breathlessly reports some alleged remark with no linked evidence and no context.
Adventures in wingnut sock puppetry engineered by WorldNetDaily and promoted by Fox. And Eric Cantor's pants are on fire. In other shocking developments, the sun rose in the east today.
Hookergate Vitter throws a tantrum at the airport gate.
And NYT replaced Kristol with Atlantic editor Ross Douthat. The glowing accolades at the link may make you a little ill. Never thought that highly of his work myself but I am surprised to find out he's so young. To the extent that I read him, he often sounds like a cranky old Villager to me. But I suppose it is a big step up from Kristol anyway. So there's that.

Wow, lots of good stuff there. And hey, it's fun to monger some gossip now and then.
How did Wm. Shatner get into the biographies?
And, is Vitter lucky he didn't get shot? They don't like bomb jokes. I'm sure they didn't like his performance.
Hey DLB. Gossip is fun sometimes. I was wondering about Shatner myself.
