The Real McCain
By Libby
I've been doing my McCain bashing at The Detroit News for the last couple of days. If you scroll down to the links they seem to be working but this story certainly deserves wide exposure, so I'll reprint the money quote from Cliff Schecter's new book.
Of course that was fifteen years ago but what are the chances his stamina has become better since then? You think he's become less cranky in his old age? Frightening really.
You can buy Cliff's book, The Real McCain, for only ten bucks at Amazon right now. I have a feeling it's going to be a good read and it's an easy way to support the progressive agenda. If it does well, it will boost his teevee creds and Cliff is great against the GOP drones on the talking head circuit.

Three reporters from Arizona, on the condition of anonymity, also let me in on another incident involving McCain's intemperateness. In his 1992 Senate bid, McCain was joined on the campaign trail by his wife, Cindy, as well as campaign aide Doug Cole and consultant Wes Gullett. At one point, Cindy playfully twirled McCain's hair and said, "You're getting a little thin up there." McCain's face reddened, and he responded, "At least I don't plaster on the makeup like a trollop, you cunt." McCain's excuse was that it had been a long day. If elected president of the United States, McCain would have many long days.

Good grief -- the C-word. The problem is God only knows what Hillary's said. I don't suspect Obama to have that kind of gutter mouth, but the more the press digs against one candidate, the more they dig on the others.
It's not the language, foul as it is that's important anon. It's his inability to control his temper, even in public.
