Cole on a roll

By Libby

Well you could waste 15 minutes of your life reading this group of op-eds at the NYT as I did, or you could save yourself the trouble and simply read John Cole's brilliant summation, Op-eds made simple. Trust me he's captured the essence perfectly, but fair warning. Be sure to swallow any liquid refreshment before reading. Those drugs he's taking for his ear infection have sharpened his rapier wit to a fine edge this afternoon.

On the other hand, if you're looking for a serious analysis about what is really troublesome about these transparent attempts to shift the blame from their own failures of judgment, read Ilan Goldenberg. The lengths these people are willing to go to in order to avoid admitting they were wrong about everything is really quite astounding.

Lester, I told you it was better to just read Cole. He summed it up perfectly.
