Did I miss anything?

By Libby

As I explained at Newshoggers this morning, I didn't watch the debate. With Russert moderating I really didn't see the point. Did anybody with more tolerance than me for insipid gasbags manage to get through it live? What did you think?

Trying desperately to dominate the debate, Clinton ended up being abrasive, obnoxious, and shrill. Obama managed to maintain a controlled demeanor. This time, there were not enough advertisements.

I couldn't stomach another debate. At this late stage, I think it's a moot point. Most people have probably already committed to their respective camps.

Pretty bad when you're hoping for ads SC.

Rocky, I couldn't stomach Russert. I knew it wasn't going to be a real debate. But I'm still undecided actually or maybe I should say unexcited and neutral. I don't trust either of them and I don't care who gets it out of a ideological interest. They're not going to advance my agenda. I want much more than they will, or probably even can, deliver.

Tactically, I'm hoping Obama gets it. I think he'd be better against McCain and of the three, I think he's the best statesman. That will be important for foreign relations in bad need of repair. But I'm not at all invested in the idea.

Hi Libby - thanks for the really kind words about my stint on CNN's Blog Buzz last week - I really appreciate it.

Here's a mega meta-post of all things Cleveland Democratic presidential primary debate-related. I'd actually recommend the Kent State student's work and Wendy Hoke's links if you look at nothing else, but all of the links are worthwhile (of course, it's my hometown now so, you know).
