Is Fox News failing?

By Libby

Their biggest media star, Bill O'Reilly is a thug, but you knew that already. This latest shoving match with the Obama staffer just makes it a little clearer.

More significantly, the NH GOP withdrew its sponsorship of the Faux Debate tomorrow in protest of their lineup that inexplicably excluded Ron Paul. Whatever you think about RP, he certainly has earned the right to stand on the stage with candidates that he beat in Iowa and will also outperform in NH, whether or not he is ultimately allowed to participate.

I hear their new financial program is also failing to find an audience. Could it be that their status as permanent mouthpiece for failed GOP policies will finally do them in? One can only hope.

They don't even pretend any more, besides their "fair und balanced" exhortations, do they?
What was interesting last night was to hear Art Bell on Coast to Coast, which has quite a large audience, say, and I quote, "Fox news sucks". This was in regard to Paul being excluded from the latest yackfest, but it surprised me that he went on to absolutely excoriate Fox, something I've never heard him do.
I believe Fox's days are numbered because people are waking up to their idiotic bias, however glacially.

Wow Nolo, that is a good sign. It would be a great service to our country if that station went off the air.

It could either way Eco but I prefer to remain optimistic.

it's too bad there isn't aonther conservative station. I know that's probably not what you all feel the country needs, but FOX has no copmetition and therefore right wingers ahve to accept their wall street/ neocon style of conservatism

Lester, too bad William F Buckley or Barry Goldwater are no longer around. I never agreed with them, but there was never any derision or scorn in the way they engaged in political discussion.

I think Buckley is still around isn't he? but national review went neocon/ mainstream GOP years ago and is virtually unreadable now.

have you read "conscience of a conservative"? (goldwater)

Buckley is still alive but no one wants to hear what he has to say.
