Bush On Health Care In America

Daniel Froomkin's article in the Washington Post has an interesting off the cuff quote from President Bush about healthcare.
"The immediate goal is to make sure there are more people on private insurance plans. I mean, people have access to health care in America," he said. "After all, you just go to an emergency room."
There you go. That's the extent of President Bush's understanding of health care in America. Talk about Sicko. Boy, he needs to go see it.

Hey Mr. President, have you been to the emergency room for that problem with your head?

Bush, like everyone else who is born and raised amid great wealth, lives in a completely different world than the rest of us, always has and always will. These people are so far removed from the daily reality of middle and lower class existence that they are unfit to govern. In my opinion, ones humble roots should be a priority consideration when making a voting decision in America, not just for Pres. but any elective office.

I think the president should be drafted into the job against his will. Wanting that job should disqualify you.
I remember when Bush's father was campaigning and went into Burger King. He needed help ordering and had to borrow money from his protection detail.

I think the job should be outsourced to India. Mumbai is awake when we're asleep and can really get things done. There are plenty of qualified people who speak better English than Bush, don't take long vacations and won't refuse to answer questions about what is going on.

Best of all, if the guy doesn't work out, you can get someone else immediately and so he'll be on his toes. There is no way an elected president can ever provide the kind of accountability we would get with a private contractor.
