Neo-cons need to cull Coulter

The darling of the neo-cons, Ann Coulter, once agains proves beyond doubt she is nothing but a classless c*nt.

“I was going to have a few comments on the other Democratic presidential candidate, John Edwards, but it turns out you have to go into rehab if you use the word ‘faggot–so….’"

I doubt Mitt will mind. He's playing to same crowd and given the chance, would say the same. And the usual suspects don't seem to be all that outraged by this public display of bigotry. They're mostly reporting it as straight news, expressing perhaps mild disapproval. And that Idiot Rottenweiler guy is actually applauding it.

I've only seen one conservative blogger denounce it, Reader Iam at Done with Mirrors who also points out that Coulter is scheduled to appear as keynote speaker for a conservative "Christian" group, at the Reclaiming America for Christ Conference. When asked to denounce this comment and reconsider having her speak, they released this statement.

Ann Coulter has made a public profession of faith. Her testimony of having received Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of her life are clearly and sincerely presented. I am sure God isn't finished with her yet in her spiritual journey. He isn't finished with us either. We have had many, many enthusiastic and positive responses from people across the country who appreciate Ann Coulter's frank approach to the issues of today and are looking forward to hearing her speak in person.

In other words, Ann is saying what they would love to say if they could and the people dumb enough to give them money love that bigotry in the name of the Lord stuff. Bash gays, poisoning SCOTUS justices and bombing the New York Times is all just fine with this oh so holy crowd.

Coulter is no Ward Churchill or stray nutcase from a comment section that the wingnuts hold up as "proof" the left is unhinged and hateful. Ms. Annie is the face and a leading voice of the neo-conservatives, whom I'm told waited in lines around the block at the CPAC conference to get their books signed by her.

If I was a neo-con, I'd be embarrassed to be associated with such a low class broad. That the neo-cons would choose to elevate such a skanky, trash talking attention whore as the spokeman for their movement I think speaks volumes about the kind of people they are and why they should be relegated back to the far fringe of society where they can only hurt each other.
