Like putting lipstick on a pig - second
Well that was short. I didn't really follow this brouhaha but it goes to show you how little the major media understands left blogtopia.
The right wingers are still stuck on Rathergate and have successfully sold the myth of their superpowers to the big guys. Clearly the WaPo bought into the myth but force a wingnut to publicly defend their point and they fold like a Japanese lantern. You think they would have learned something from Jeff Gannon.

That's the problem with the current right wingers in control - they don't care to learn from their mistakes. Connections and loyalty trump everything; experience, qualifications, intelligence, etc.
They don't care much for the facts either. The only reason they've been so successful so far is that they were the early adopters in blogging and they organized before the lefties did. They learned to create buzz by repeating the propaganda and they're very disciplined about staying on message.
That's the big difference I think betweeen the left and the right. We actually try to put forward reasoned arguments and we're willing to debate each other while they just pick a meme and stick to it.
You remember when I participated in blog like a rightie day? Easiest day of my life. You don't have to think, you just link.
