Koufax awards commence

Speaking of Wampum this afternoon, voting hasn't started yet but nominations for best new blog are posted.

Thanks to Kathy's kindness in nominating The Impolitic, we're on the list of 120 blogs. I would love to make the finalists' list but it's rather difficult to ask you to vote for me against such heavy hitters as BobGeiger.com, Booman Tribune or Think Progress, much less our friends like Heretik, Agitprop, Neil Shakespeare, Mikevotes at Born at the Crest of the Empire, or Michael of The Reaction, among many others. I'm almost embarrassed for them to be seen in my company in public.

The Impolitic probably holds the distinction as the blog most in need of a public boost but I don't think I can claim to be the best blogger on that roster. Nonetheless, it's worth taking a look at the list of nominees. If you're not already reading the blogs on it, you're missing some really good blogging.

And by the way, these awards have grown into a time consuming, bandwidth eating, extremely expensive project for the fine folks at Wampum. If you have any spare cash lying around, send them a few bucks, would you please?
