Wrong Way Harry

From Forbes magazine comes this gem from our Democratic "leaders."

The only way Democrats could stop Alito is through a filibuster, a maneuver they show little interest in trying. Thus Democrats are working to get a large opposition vote to score points against President Bush.

"I think it sends a message to the American people that this guy is not King George, he's President George," Senate Democratic leader Harry Reid of Nevada said.
Wrong Harry. It sends a message that you're a blithering fool leading a bunch of spineless idiots who still think they're going to win elections based on political posturing. Stand up and fight or get the hell out of the way Harry.

Amen. The dems lose elections because their candidates appear weak and wishy washy and that is scary to voters. Even Biden is turning out to be a wuss. And if they can't do any better than Hilary or Kerry in 2008, they will lose again. The stage is set, they have everything on their side, all the amunition a party could ask for, to take over the majority in congress after these midterms. Are you afraid they are gonna blow it like I am?

I feel amost certain they're going to blow it. Hell, they're already blowing it. If the situation wre reversed, the Repubs would be making big time hay with this. Freaking idiots think they can just coast on our fear of the GOP and yet at the same time present themselves as some kind of GOP lite.
