Patterico pontificates
I don't know what's more pathetic. Patterico making a federal case out of four dropped words in the print version of a LAT story on Bush and Cindy Sheehan, or that in the following paragraph he makes the same sin of omission by failing to fully qualify her remarks about her meeting with our president, two months after her son was killed in the Iraq folly.
Patterico in fact commits the greater wrong, since anyone who hasn't been living under a rock knows she met with him over a year ago, and one could safely assume the readers would infer the phrase to mean while in Crawford. On the other hand, he construes her remarks to imply she completely supported the president at the time, which is simply untrue.
Glenn Reynolds, who sent me over there, of course approves, and thinks Patterico was just ever so clever. And they call us partisan.
