Anywhere or bust

As the eyewitness accounts roll in, it's almost too much to take. I've been inexplicably on the verge of tears all morning. It's so tragic, so inhumane, and so infuriatingly obvious that this horror is the result of gross incompetence and carelessness on the part of our so-called civil defense systems.

WaPo posts a heartbreaking story of a grandmother and her young grandson, who abandoned the stink and danger at the convention center and just started walking - hoping to find relief in the kindness of strangers.

So far they haven't found it.
