Banging on the banksters

Good Krugman column about the Robber Barons of Wall St. Read it all but the closer is the quote of the day.
Neither the administration, nor our political system in general, is ready to face up to the fact that we’ve become a society in which the big bucks go to bad actors, a society that lavishly rewards those who make us poorer.
Really. These people are parasites on society and it's not a symbiotic relationship. They're total bloodsuckers, sucking the life out of everything that was once good about the entrepreneurial spirit.

Looking back at history, Feudalism seems to have been the natural state of human society. It certainly has enormous power and like the jungle that surrounds my house, you have to cut it back every day.

We have to notice that one of the most powerful enemies of feudalism is the graduated income tax and that those who benefit so much from economic feudalism are focused on eliminating it. Low taxes on the rich and high taxes on the serfs is what feudalism is all about.
