Not far right enough

Comment from my regular critic, Constitutionally Speaking in response to my post on Specter.
Extreme right is nonsense

The Republican Party today is left of where John Kennedy was when he was President.

The Republican party of recent years - ever since Bush has drifted LEFTWARD.

That is why it has lost it's base.
Not clear what they have to do get him back into the tent. GOP - you have a problem...

Left-right, conservative-liberal. Beyond the inherent idiocy of this bipolar dualism, these words don't mean anything at all any more. What's left or right about opposing corruption? Is it conservative to promote inept prosecution of needless war? Of course not. Is it Liberal to promote weakening the bill of rights? This is a battle using foam rubber swords.

We've let them gerrymander and jury rig our language to the point where reason isn't only unnecessary, it's impossible.

Truly, the old metrics don't apply and the English language is dying. I blame texting and twitter. And probably Fox.
