Dangerous McCain

By Libby

I have to agree with Chris Bowers. He makes a good case for spending our energy defeating McCain rather than worrying about who wins the Democratic nomination. I'm of the mind that 08 isn't going to be the cakewalk that everyone is expecting and McCain would be hardest to beat in the general.

Not to mention, with "Freedom Watch" and other likeminded neo-con operatives arraying their forces and considerable funds, Congressional gains aren't a given either. Choosing our battles has never been more important. [Via Avedon]

I don't understand this machevellian vote for this guy to affect that guy stuff. I guess when you have no actual candidate you like or can support your mind goes towards those sort of things.

It's really crazy Lester but it makes sense on a tactical level. McCain would be a terrible president.

at the last debate he said he'd like to lower the interest rates to zero. that's like saying we should buy big pogo sticks instead of having bridges. it's insane. when theylower the interst rates that means they are printing more money. if they lowered them to zero it would effectivly destroy our currency. it's like if people just starting counterfeiting.

he clearly has no idea what he is talking about. his foreign policy obviously is similarly ignorant

True enough Lester. I can't figure out what anyone sees in him.
