Happy Lefty Day

By Libby

That would be for left-handed people , regardless of their political leanings. It's been around since 1976 but few know that today is the international holiday for those who they used to call in the olden days, Southpaws.

I know a lot of lefties and understand the challenges of living in a right-handed world. It's not easy but on the bright side, they also say lefties are more likely to succeed at life. Apparently it's a growing population but still an unsung minority. Happy holiday to all.

Thank you. You haven't forgotten your sister is a lefty, have you? It is said that the side of the brain that controls functions is opposite your dominent hand, so right handed people are controlled by the left side of the brain while lefties are controlled by the right side. This means that only left handed people are in their right minds! (old joke, laugh anyway).

Well, Bill Clinton was left handed...that puts you in good company. Oh, except for the fact that his adminstration secured the Iraqi Liberation Act in 1998! Hey, but Bush lied, and people died. Bush is right-handed though, no?

Libby: Thanks for reminding me of the lefty curse! It's bad enough I have to live with it, and now I'm supposed to celebrate it? :)

DDouglas is correct: Clinton is left-handed, but I think when it came to the opposite sex he was definitely ambidextrous.

But at least he committed acts against individual women and not the entire country, like one right-handed person I won't mention.

No self-respecting lefty would say "nukuler." :)

LOL Rocky. No I didn't forget. You were the first one I thought of.

Yes DD, Clinton was lefthanded and Bush is not.

Michael, LOL to you too. Hope you enjoyed your holiday.

LOL Nolo. I've loving this thread. It's so refreshing to talk about something besides government malfeasance once in a while.
