Google Glass
Well if you don't find it annoying to have something permanently hanging in your peripheral vision, I guess Google's new glasses look pretty cool. Seems to be the general reaction on my social nets. Me, I'm creeped out by it. Feels like one step away from assimilation into the Borg. Very Three of Five. Call me Hugh...

Ha! Seriously, feels like the first step towards 24/7 surveillance to me. That technology can surely be reverse engineered.
one if the nearly infinite things that worries me is the thought that all this visual media will replace language, or at least anything subtle and creative about it.
And do we really care about what 7 or 8 billion people are looking at right now?
I'm afraid it's just another of the new and many ways we have of separating ourselves from reality. Do we really experience it in all its glory when we're tweeting and sharing every damned microsecond of our lives?
Exactly Fogg. I see a lot of people that appear to be staging their experiences for social sharing and the chance to go viral.
