Don't often drop the f bomb these days, but seriously just fuck cancer. And click over to offer a good thought to Jim Henley at High Clearing who is one of the best people on the internets. He's at the beginning of dealing with a scary diagnosis.

I've been through that scary diagnosis. It's still hard to talk about it, but the realization that you're probably lost and probably fooling yourself if you think you can somehow fight or connive or pray your way out of it and the polite smile on the face of the doctor with the CAT scan isn't much different than the polite smile on the face of the warden or man with key about to lead you of to that room at the end of the hall and won't you come along now.
Ever jump out the door of a plane and look back at the receding faces of your friends?
I just came home from the funeral of a friend my age -- cancer. Took her two years of false hope to die.
Fuck cancer, but chances are it will fuck you, if not this time, surely next time.
Lost too many friends to that evil disease myself. Can't begin to imagine how hard it is to deal with it.
