Specter takes his parting shot at SCOTUS

I never had much use for the guy, but I admit I love that in his farewell speech to the Senate, Sen. Arlen Specter throws the judicial activist card down.
"Ignoring a massive congressional record and reversing recent decisions, Chief Justice Roberts and Justice Alito repudiated their confirmation testimony given under oath and provided the key votes to permit corporations and unions to secretly pay for political advertising - thus effectively undermining the basic Democratic principle of the power of one person, one vote," said Specter. Chief Justice Roberts promised to just call balls and strikes and then he moved the bases."
We tried to tell him that when he was voting to confirm these ideologues for a lifetime appointment. If only he had listened then, he might still have a job.

If America does not have a right wing Dictatorship within ten years we will be lucky. What is needed is not compromise, but more leftist policies. Obama is certainly not a leftist. I certainly will miss Specter though. He was a sensible Republican. The Conservative GOP is dead. It is a Party of the extreme right. The sooner we recognize that the better.

I won't miss Specter all that much. He's part of the old guard on the Hill that needs to be replaced. But I love that he finally recognized at the end, that he had been had.

We already have a left wing dictator in training sitting in the Oval Office. The last election seems to show the Democrat party is dead. It's a party of extreme left wing nuts.

Yes, proof by assertion backed up by absurdity.

And of course if you waste time asking for details or supplying a rebuttal, you're an "elitist"

This is why it's all over for this country.
