Night on the town

I see the Obama's had a night out on the town in the city so big, they named it twice. Wingnuttia melts down. ZOMG! The cost. The inconvenience to the residents, (like those who cheered them on their way out of town). How dare he take a night off from saving the world?

Meanwhile, the 'moderate' Jazz tells me that any right winger who complains is a hypocrite if they didn't similarly rage against Bush's record breaking vacation time in office, but I'm also a hypocrite if I don't criticize the Obamas for taking one little personal trip. What a load of horseshit.

Obama has already done more work in the first few months in office than Bush managed to accomplish in his entire eight years. It's not like he works two days and takes three off on a regular basis. Cripes, they didn't even spend the night in Manhattan and I feel pretty certain that Obama is working today. He deserves a night off with his wife once in a while and there is nothing hypocritical about being glad that he managed to squeeze one in.

Yeah. Boy, they must be freaking out that Obama has sex at home with his own wife and stuff, hunh? What are they going to impeach him for, impeding traffic?

All the NYers would be on foot or on the subway on a FRI or SAT night. With all the B&T people in town on the W/E's, you can't move in a cab anyway. And they seem to like being stuck in the traffic they create. Esp in the W.Village & Times Sq.

Republicans will never speak for NYers, despite the mayoral aberrations. Especially not those dreadful crackers. Correct response: STFU!, Or, in Bklyn, "Ay, STFU!" with gestures.

And in the Bronx, it is now 718-000-STFU!

Native NYer & proud of it. Used to live two blocks from the WTC. Was there the first time they bombed it. Always pissed me off all the phony outrage & concern, which did nothing for the victims, and then became an excuse to protect Big Oil's turf. And, hey, where's Osama?

Believe me, NYers were ecstatic to see that nice young couple from Chicago on Bwy and in the Village. NY exists to play host to civilized people. I hope they enjoyed themselves in my home town. Liberal Democrats are always welcome in Manhattan. It's like a nature preserve for liberal Democrats.

Fortunately, they're no longer an endangered species.
