Kristol kicked out at NYT

The only part worth reading is the very last line. This is William Kristol’s last column. Oh happy day. Now if they would just take him off my teevee...

Update: Attaturk gets the last laugh. Click over, if only for the graphic.

Update II: Thanks to our fine wingnut welfare system, Kristol will not be standing in the unemployment line. WaPo will be scraping up the NYT's leavings.

Kristol: Obama’s speech was unabashedly pro-American and implicitly conservative.

That's it in a nutshell. What offends me most about Kristol and company is their self-identified claim on the principles of constitutional democracy, freedom, and patriotism as if only conservatives have a monopoly on American core values. Unable to acknowledge the failures of conservative ideology, now they try to recast "liberals" as closet "conservatives" to make Obama more palatable and acceptable within their ranks.

Conservatives never operated as a political entity; they resemble a cult with irrational fervor. In any event, it was probably a business decision at the Times: With the old order out and a new order in, Kristol simply became irrelevant.

Kristol was irrelvant and an embarassment from the first column. Unfortunately, while he may talk like a slavering idiot, he's not really that stupid. He got them to sign a year's contract. They couldn't get rid of him until now.
