Missing links

I have a bunch of links you may have missed, some older, some newer, that I won't have time to blog about but are worth reading. I may get back to some of them later but for now, you're on your own.

Rove may have to answer to a special prosecutor, along with Harriet Miers on the attorney purge scandal. What the heck, it's only been something like almost three years since that was uncovered.

Joe Conanson had a devastating column on the problem with Palin.

Speaking of Palin, Josh asks what is she hiding and why are they so desperate to shut down the Troopergate investigation?

It's a good question that might be answered since the AK Superior Court judge appears to take the law seriously. If you need to get up to speed on this scandal, ADN has it all on one page, Troopergate from the beginning. Bonus reading at TNR. The story of Sarah Palin's rise in Alaska. Filled with petty resentments and a history of taking revenge over small slights.

This one is old, but didn't get nearly enough attention. TPM looks at 3eDC which reminds me of Duke Cunningham's shell corporations used to funnel Pentagon funds. I wonder how McCain supporters feel about having their donations shoveled straight into Rick Davis' pocket?

Matt has a good chart illustrating the rise of national debt under GOP administrations.

And speaking of debt, the war on medical marijuana users wastes a lot of taxpayer dollars on pursuing sick people who are not a danger to society in any way. Via Avedon, Paul Krassner spent some time with the patients and has thoughts on the effects of medical marijuana.
