GOP to McCain: Fetch your slop bucket

Nervous Republicans are urging McCain to go negative for the last weeks of the campaign. As opposed to what? The supremely positive campaign he's waged so far? They, whoever they are, are "urging McCain to focus on Rev. Jeremiah Wright, scandal-stained businessman Tony Rezko and former radical war protester William Ayers."

By all means, the McCain campaign should ignore the serious problems the country faces today and wallow in mud slinging about inconsequential events that happened decades ago. What better way to prove their "bi-partisan" concern for the future?
