The Rats Are In The Water

I read a classic line this week at some blog and I apologize that I don't remember where: "You don't see rats swimming toward a sinking ship."
Newt Gingrich described the Bush administration as dysfunctional and its unpopularity as hazardous to those in the Republican Party."The government is not functioning. It's not getting the job done," said the former House speaker, who is considering a run for the Republican presidential nomination. "Republicans need to confront this reality.
Well, the rest of us, being part of the reality based community, confronted it years ago. We know Bush is batshit crazy, but man, these republicans seem to be going down with the ship. Thankfully, one of the top rats hit the water.

"We have to have very relentless, dramatic change in American government," he said.

Gingrich added, "The key question is: Is somebody prepared to stand up and say that the American people deserve fundamental change in Washington?"

Yes, we are and even more than fundamental, we need the republicans out of control of the executive branch for at least eight years. It will take that long to repair the damage.

I love it when a big republican breaks Ronald Reagan's 11th Commandment.
Thou shalt not speak ill of any fellow Republican.
I guess they figured out that Reagan is dead and Bush is figuratively killing the rest of them.

Rat overboard!
