Is it me or does Joe Klein sound more like some mutation of Insty and Ann Althouse every day? Oh, those lefties are so mean to me and I'm on their side. Really. Except when I'm shilling for the White House. Which is most of the time.

Joe's problem is he's been kissing the neo-con's ass for so long to protect his place as token "liberal" on the talking head circuit that he forgot what their face looks like and it ain't pretty. Or maybe he just learned to love the smell of their crapola from being in such close proximity.

Word up Joe. That liberal veneer of yours is as transparent as a new bride's negligee. We only look like the fringe from where you are, down there on your knees, worshipping at the altar of the conventional GOP wisdom. If you would stand up for principles, you might notice that your circle of self-satisfied pundits and White House water carriers are getting smaller all the time. That fringe you're seeing is the leading edge of 70% of America.
