Throw all the bums out
Parkway Rest Stop has the on the scene scoop on the joke that is New Jersey. I guess they finally came to some kind of agreement today, but I found Jim's Two Step Solution for fixing what ails his government of greater interest.
Step 1. On Election Day, be sure you know who the incumbent candidate is. The political party doesn’t matter. Just make sure you know who currently holds the office.Regular readers know I'm been pushing this meme for months. Throw all the bums out. The problem isn't the government, it's the professional politicians running it. Kick the incumbents out and see if the parties don't get the message that the electorate is pissed off and we're not going to let them play politics as usual anymore.
Step 2. Vote for the other candidate.

I like it.
:-} Well there is that but if everyone was on board, everywhere, it would roll everything over to a Dem majority and they would all be freshmen. At least it would take them a while to learn how to corrupt the system.
Given that it would create a veto-proof Republican majority in the Mass. Statehouse for the new governor, that's a trade I would almost be willing to make.
Always the optimist Snark. There are still primaries aren't there? If the parties put up candidates that aren't incumbents, it won't necessarily fall in neat party lines....:-}
