Tea Party demands to rule Romney's world

The Tea Party hatriots are hyped up by their victory in Texas.
“This all proves what we’ve said all along,” said Jenny Beth Martin, co-founder of the Tea Party Patriots, “that the Tea Party movement is here to stay. I am actually surprised that people are surprised that Ted Cruz won.
Actually don't know anyone who was surprised. This was GOP primary, not the general. But hey, they're feeling feisty enough now to give Mitt his marching orders.
The stunning Texas victory of Ted Cruz, a young Tea Party-backed Republican over an establishment candidate vying for a Senate seat, has already so emboldened the insurgent conservative movement that activists are warning Mitt Romney he had better get on board. [...]

“If we can elect a really conservative House and Senate that will force Romney to go along with our bold conservative agenda,” Shell said. “He’s going to have to really, really go to the right. He’ll be working with guys in the House and Senate. He won’t be able to get away with too many middle of the road policies, especially on things like the deficit.” [...]

“It’s not going to be a Romney driven presidency,” Norman Orenstein, a researcher at the conservative think tank AEI recently told ABC News. “It’s going to be a Congressional, conservative, Republican driven presidency from Congress.”
I see no reason to doubt this would happen if by some horrible chance they do take over the whole federal government. As far as I can see Rmoney just wants to be president on the teevee and make lots of money exploiting the business contacts he'll make in office once the gig is over. I've seen no indication he cares at all about policy outside of cutting his own damn tax contribution.

Assuming he manages to bamboozle his way into the Oval Office, expect he'd make Shrub look like a hands on Preznit.
