The Mysterious Miss Palin

I really don't want to talk about Palin, but it's like driving by a wreck on the highway. You don't really want to look, but you can't help yourself. Morbid curiousity wins every time. Besides, this post is really about her fan base. Thers uncovers a gem today. This quote really does deserve to be archived for history.
Her strength in this regard is obscured at the moment because that agenda and message is a mystery at present.
Priceless. And I went to her Facebook fan club page for the first time today. It moves fast but there's a treasure trove of hysterical research for future historians. Two of my favs that have probably disappeared by now:
David Missita: Dear Miss Governor Sarah, please know (as heart knowledge) that there are "more for you" that love you and are rooting for you, no matter what! I know I'm not the only one who loves you for who you are and what you stand for. You've got a way and style that is "UNIQUE" and that, scares the hell out of people! They realize they're messing with dynamite when they mess with you. Why else would anybody in a right mind attack you the way you've been treated? Why? Fear on their part. We stand behind you Sarah! We stand WITH you Sarah! We love and appreciate you GOVERNOR PALIN! Stand strong, you mighty woman.

Valerie Murden: I just had a vision...all of our forefathers who put their lives and families and blood on the line for this country...are standing up from beyond their graves and applauding Sarah.....she is well-backed and loved.....Go Sarah....
Never underestimate the capacity of people to adore complete strangers. It reminds me a debate I had a list serv years ago, about whether it was possible to honestly grieve over John Ritter's death.

Yeah. Like this whole "MJ" thing. Ratings show only ten per cent of the population watched any of the endless coverage of the funeral, on all channels combined. A good rating for a teevee show, but nowhere near a record: 30m. (80m is the record, and that was thirty years ago.) So 90%, 270,000,000, wanted to see something else, or nothing.

The rest? If they genuinely feel grief for a complete stranger they probably haven't thought about in years, and only then in reference to a molestation charge, what emotions do they reserve for the death of their Mom or Dad? It's just bizarre, utterly false, and hideously inappropriate.

As to Palin, the idiots' meme seems to be that us libruls are askeered a' her. And anybody that the libruls HATE (yeah, that's idiot meme #2) must be like, the new Republican Messiah, come to Earth at last to free the wingnuts from the constraints of, you know, sanity?

No, home-skewlers, the only thing that skeers us about Palin is that she almost got her finger on the nukuler trigger, not to mention the White House Dept. Of Law, which would have begun actual witch-hunts immediately, complete with duckings & burnings.

Conservatards seem to feel that it's better to have a complete idiot or even a loon like Palin or Dubya as President, who'll just leave all the decisioning to the professional cops, soldiers, torturers, spies and bankers. Or Dick Cheney. And they're totally comfortable with that banana republican approach. Sarah is their Evita. Don't cry for them, even Argentina has moved on.

The bottom line with the nutters is they love her because they think she pisses us off. Don't notice the laughing and pointing I guess.

Yup. I honestly think they all get talking points from Corporatista HQ at 1 Goebbels Plaza (formerly known as the Schmuck Building), in beautiful downtown Lynching, VA, every single day and repeat them like zombies no matter how nonsensical. I just mock them and laugh in their faces. I quit arguing with them a long time ago: They're all paid trolls, as far as I'm concerned. If I want to know what any of them thinks, I'll listen to Rushbo. NOT!

The consistency of wingnut group think does impress me sometimes though. Don't know how they manage to live with that level of cognitive dissonance.
